Chito is a community lot produced by 10 carefully selected smallholder farmers in the hills surrounding the town of Chito, in the far south of Ecuador's Zamora Chinchipe region, at 1,600 MASL. Part of a long-term project by CafExporto — led by Juan Peña of Hacienda La Papaya — the initiative helps rural Ecuadorean producers access the specialty market, providing agronomic support, seedlings, and shared processing protocols to improve quality and consistency year after year. This washed Typica from the July 2025 harvest is the result of that growing expertise — a clean, refined cup with clear floral aromas, crisp citrus, and a delicate green tea finish.
