Kaffeelix - Lalesa
Tasting notes: Nectarine, Apricot, Black Tea, Floral, Hibiscus, Plum, Strawberry Punch
Kaffeelix Lalesa is an anaerobic natural Heirloom lot from the Lalesa site in the Gedeb district of Ethiopia, grown at 2,150–2,200 MASL. The station is operated by Ephtah Specialty Coffee, led by Wubit Bekele, and is the largest processing facility in the Gedeb region with 350 drying beds. Whole cherries undergo nine days of anaerobic fermentation in sealed barrels before being dried for 13–18 days on raised beds. The result is a beautifully well-balanced cup — complex and expressive, with notes of nectarine, apricot, hibiscus, and plum, finishing with a vivid and juicy strawberry punch.
