Tasting notes: Sponge Toffee, Canned Pear and Ground Cherry
Spring in Montreal is chaos — and this coffee understands it perfectly. Grown high in the Peruvian Andes under cold, damp conditions, this washed Typica and Bourbon lot comes from producer Felipe Estela, one of the first in his region to pursue coffee production with a focus on quality, consistency, and care in every harvest.
The cup is sweet and steady, opening with notes of sponge toffee, followed by bright ground cherry and soft canned pear. It starts cozy and comforting, then finishes clean and balanced, making it the kind of coffee you’ll keep reaching for day after day.
Through our partnership with Crop to Cup, we help ensure fair pay and ethical working conditions for producers like Felipe. Because great coffee isn’t just about flavour — it’s about respect, transparency, and doing things right from seed to sip.
