Boo Coffee Roasters - Rwanda - Mbare
Tasting notes: Grape Soda, Mixed Berries, Sweet Tea, Hibiscus
Rwamatamu Mbare is an expressive natural coffee from Mbare in Rwanda’s Southern Province, produced by family-owned Rwamatamu at 1,800 metres above sea level. Founded by Gaston Rutaganda and Laeticia Mukantwaza, Rwamatamu works closely with local smallholder farmers while supporting community initiatives for women and young coffee growers. Made from Red Bourbon, this naturally processed coffee is dried on raised beds for 26–33 days, with careful turning and sorting throughout the process. The cup is vibrant and fruit-forward, offering playful notes of grape soda and mixed berries, balanced by sweet tea and a delicate hibiscus finish. Light, floral, and beautifully expressive, this coffee combines lively fruit character with an elegant sweetness.
