Gachatha Espresso is an intensely fruity washed coffee from Nyeri, Kenya, produced by several hundred smallholder farmers at the Gachatha wet mill. A blend of SL28, SL34, Batian, and Ruiru 11 cultivars, this coffee showcases vibrant flavours of blackcurrants, blackberries, and raisins. The cherries are carefully hand-picked, sorted, fermented, washed, and slowly dried on raised beds for 10–14 days. Gachatha is known for consistently producing high-quality Kenyan coffees, with its traditional SL28 and SL34 cultivars contributing to the distinctive, fruit-forward character of this espresso.
