This Walega lot comes through the Rumudamo washing station in Arbegona, Sidama, Ethiopia, where smallholder farmers cultivate coffee at roughly 2,200 metres. Subtext has returned to the station over multiple harvests to showcase its high-altitude coffees.

For this anaerobic washed selection, sorted cherries are held in sealed barrels before depulping and washing, then dried on raised beds. The extended fermentation adds expressive fruit while the washed finish retains a clean, articulate cup.
