Spilt Milk Coffee Roasters - Alfred's
Tasting notes: Dark Cocoa, Tiramisu, Amaretto
Alfred’s is Spilt Milk’s Italian-inspired blend, created to celebrate its restaurant of the same name and named in memory of Lauren’s grandfather. Coffees from Brazil, Ethiopia and Sumatra are brought together for a rich, aromatic profile inspired by traditional Milanese espresso. A long, slow roast develops the blend’s darker character and gives it the intensity intended for this style.
Expect dark cocoa, amaretto and tiramisu notes, with a bold roast profile suited to drinkers who prefer a more traditional cup. Although developed with espresso in mind, Alfred’s also comes with a filter recipe. Spilt Milk suggests a 16:1 water-to-coffee ratio for filter, or approximately 19g of coffee yielding 40ml of espresso in 30 seconds. This listing is for the 250g whole-bean format.
