Rogue Wave Coffee - Peru - Maria Estela La Perla Yellow Caturra - Washed

Maria Estela grows this Yellow Caturra in northern Cajamarca, Peru, at elevations between 1,790 and 1,850 metres. Working alongside her three children, she oversees post-harvest processing on the farm and participates in the El Morito association. Established in 2022, the association allows smallholders to process their own coffees before bringing their lots together for export, maintaining individual traceability while sharing opportunities to improve quality.

This washed 2026 harvest combines pear and grape with jasmine aromatics, chocolate sweetness and blackberry notes. Rogue Wave describes an approachable cup with a lively fruit character, suitable for espresso, pourover and filter. Maria’s son Antony is developing his post-harvest skills to carry the family’s coffee work forward, making this lot part of an ongoing family effort as well as a distinctive expression of Yellow Caturra.
