Hatch Coffee

Hatch is a specialty coffee roaster based in Markham, Ontario, Canada, founded by Alfonso Tupaz in 2015. Tupaz developed an interest in roasting while living in Nigeria, experimenting with coffee before returning to Canada. Unusually for a roastery, Hatch began with ready-to-drink cold brew before expanding into whole-bean coffee.

That early focus on the finished drink still shapes its approach. Hatch uses Loring roasting equipment and close control of each batch to pursue sweetness, clarity and a clean finish. Its range includes both accessible coffees and limited lots with distinctive varieties or experimental processing.
