Coffee Collective was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 2007. Its founding team brings together green-coffee specialist Peter Dupont, roaster Casper Engel Rasmussen and Klaus Thomsen, the 2006 World Barista Champion. Their different skills connect farming, roasting and preparation within the same business.

The company helped define an approach to specialty coffee in which direct producer relationships and transparent purchasing are as important as flavour. It publishes information about the prices paid for coffee and builds long-term relationships intended to reward quality at farm level.

Coffee Collective’s light Nordic roasting seeks to express the sweetness, acidity and distinctive character already present in the green coffee. Its selection follows individual producers and harvests rather than relying only on broad country labels.
