Santamaria Estate Geisha Natural L58 comes from Edwin Santamaria’s farm in Paso Ancho, Chiriquí, Panama, where coffee is grown at around 1,800 metres above sea level. The 120-hectare estate has been producing coffee since 1950 and is planted with varieties including Caturra, Typica, Criollo, and Geisha. The farm’s volcanic soils and high-elevation conditions contribute to the aromatic character and acidity of its coffees. Santamaria Estate has also built a strong competition record, placing third in both the Geisha Washed and Geisha Natural categories at the 2017 Best of Panama and reaching the Top 8 in the 2026 BoP Varietal Category.
This lot uses a Geisha Natural Hydronat (GNH) process, combining 96 hours of natural fermentation in a pressurized, cold-controlled environment with a slow 30-day drying phase. The extended processing brings out an aromatic and fruit-driven cup, with apricot and rose leading the aroma, followed by flavours of apricot, grapefruit, rose, and vanilla. Recommended for filter brewing, this is a refined expression of Panamanian Geisha with a delicate floral character and layered fruit sweetness.
