Escape Coffee Roasters

Escape Coffee Roasters was founded in Montréal, Québec, Canada, in 2018. Co-founder David Boucher came to coffee after a career in marketing and time spent travelling, helping shape a project that connects coffee with creativity and a more considered approach to everyday consumption.

Coffee selection considers taste and quality alongside origin, transport, social impact and the treatment of workers. Escape also works with local artists and uses compostable or reusable packaging, connecting its visual identity with practical choices about how the business operates.

Escape organises its range around distinct experiences: Bright coffees emphasise a lighter, livelier cup, Warm moves towards a rounder profile, and Dark serves drinkers who prefer more developed roasting. Limited releases offer room for rarer lots and exploration. This breadth lets the Montréal roaster combine accessible daily coffees with more unusual origins without presenting every coffee as the same style.
