Ethiopia Washed Sewda Premium comes from Big Sur Coffee, sourced from the Sewda washing station in Benti Korba village, Oddo Shakisso, Guji, Ethiopia, at 1,900–2,100 MASL. During Big Sur's 2026 origin trip to Ethiopia, Testi prepared a blind cupping session of 28 outstanding washed coffees — and Sewda stood out once again, earning its place in the 2026 harvest lineup for the second consecutive year. This year's crop builds on Sewda's signature profile of elegant magnolia florals and sweet apricot-like fruit, showing greater sweetness, more weight, and a firmer, more structured body while maintaining the refined clarity that defines this coffee. The result is what Big Sur considers the finest expression of washed Ethiopian coffee — uplifting fresh florals, bright and lively acidity, and a refreshing, lingering sweetness, with notes of magnolia, honey peach, bergamot, lime, and watermelon juice.
