Panama Finca Lerida Michela Estate Waterfall Honey SL34 comes from Big Sur Coffee, sourced from the Michela Estate — the newest of Finca Lérida's five farms — in Boquete, Chiriquí, Panama, at 1,600 MASL. One of Panama's most legendary coffee estates, Finca Lérida was founded in the 1920s and has been producing world-class specialty coffee for over a century, earning Best Coffee in the World at the 2003 SCAA competition. The rare SL34 variety — originally from Kenya — was first planted at Lerida in 2017 and placed 4th at the 2022 Best of Panama auction in its very first eligible year. This lot undergoes an innovative Cascade Honey process: five days of cascade cold fermentation followed by 15 days drying on raised beds, concentrating extraordinary depth and texture. The result is a vivid, layered cup with hibiscus aromatics, dark berries, and a creamy preserved plum candy finish.
