La Esperanza Kenia Natural comes from Proud Mary Coffee, produced by the Pacas family — one of Proud Mary's longest-standing producer relationships since 2012. When the family purchased Finca La Esperanza in 2010, it had been long neglected. Through years of careful renovation, the farm has been transformed into a variety garden divided into 18 separate tablons, each growing a different variety. This lot features the rare Kenia variety — a natural mutation of SL28 — grown at 1,355 MASL in Chalchuapa, El Salvador. Processed naturally to amplify its unique mutation traits, the result is a big, loud, and juicy cup bursting with rich notes of blackcurrant, cherry, and grape.
