La Danta is a plot within Finca La Bolsa in Guatemala’s Huehuetenango region, where the Vides family cultivates Bourbon and Caturra. The estate was founded by Dr. Jorge Vides and has been managed since 1995 by his daughter Maria Elena and grandson Renardo Ovalle Vides.

Brown sugar and caramel sweetness meet red apple in this washed lot. Suitable for espresso and filter, it offers an approachable introduction to the family’s coffees. La Bolsa’s work also includes ecosystem conservation, careful water use and community education through its school, daycare and vocational training initiatives.
