Tasting notes:

The Pacas family purchased La Esperanza in 2010 after years of neglect and began a full renovation and redesign. The farm is now a large variety garden divided into 18 plots, with cultivars including Pacas, Red Bourbon, Bernardina, Mokka, and Kenia. Its steep slopes, distinctive microclimate, biodiversity, and the family's careful work have helped La Esperanza place in the Cup of Excellence three times, most recently in 2025.

Kenia is the name used in El Salvador for a rare variety of uncertain origin, thought to be a natural mutation of Kenyan SL types. This naturally processed lot is bold and juicy, with blackcurrant, cherry, and grape. Proud Mary has worked with the Pacas family since 2012 and presents the coffee for both espresso and filter.
