Flower Child Coffee - Danche - Ethiopia - Yellow Honey

Tasting notes: Ripe Peach, Mango, Tropical Juice

This yellow honey lot comes from the highland garden farms supplying Danche washing station in Gedeb, Ethiopia. Approximately 800 producers contribute cherries, with many farms covering two to three hectares at elevations above 2,200 metres. The lot combines Kurume, Wolisho and other Ethiopian landraces.

The cherries are lightly depulped, fermented for two days, washed and dried on raised beds for 10 to 14 days. Flower Child selected a yellow honey process to bring together fruit sweetness and bright acidity. Ripe peach, mango and tropical juice lead a syrupy cup with melon, berry and panela-like sweetness.
