Datura Coffee Paris - Gesha Village - Ethiopia - Lot 26/128 Surma Washed
Tasting notes: Orange Blossom, Green Tea, Raspberry, Jasmine, Mandarin
Datura’s Gesha Village Lot 26/128 Surma is an elegant washed Gesha 1931 from the renowned Gesha Village estate in Ethiopia’s Bench Maji region. Grown in the Surma block at 1,909–2,063 metres, this coffee offers a direct connection to the Ethiopian origins of the Gesha variety, known for its exceptional genetic diversity and aromatic complexity. The cherries are carefully sorted and floated before undergoing a controlled 12–18 hour dry fermentation, followed by washing and slow shade-drying for 12–15 days. This meticulous process helps preserve the coffee’s purity, clarity, and refined character. With its delicate structure and remarkable aromatic depth, this Gesha is an expressive example of the distinctive coffees produced at Gesha Village.
