Archers - Alo Coffee Mewa Village - Ethiopia - Washed
Tasting notes: White Floral, Honey, Peach, Apricot, Earlgrey
Tamiru Tadesse founded Alo Coffee to bring greater recognition and better returns to coffee growers in his native Sidama Bensa. After winning first place in the 2021 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence, he continued building direct links between smallholder communities and specialty buyers. Alo Coffee also supports farmers with agronomy knowledge, post-harvest processing, premium cherry payments, and community projects.
This washed Mewa Village lot is processed at Gemechu Station from JARC varieties 74158, 74112, and 74110 grown at 2,160 to 2,260 metres. Together they produce a delicate profile of white florals, honey, peach, apricot, and Earl Grey. The combination of soft fruit sweetness and tea-like aromatics makes this a balanced omni roast for filter or espresso.
