APRIL - Kamavindi - Kenya - Washed SL34 (AB)

Tasting notes: Berries, Red Apple, Plum

Kamavindi Farm was founded by John Njiru Mbature in 1958. The 20-hectare estate began with 100 seedlings under colonial-era planting restrictions, then expanded after those limits were lifted. Today, Peter Mbature manages the farm with his mother, Hellen Weveti, and his sister, Gladwell Wanjira.

This washed AB lot isolates SL34 grown at Kamavindi Estate in Embu, Kenya. Peter and his team select cherries according to the different ripeness indicators of each variety, and April describes a cup profile of berries, red apple, and plum.
