Datura Coffee - Bambito Estate Gesha Highland Grace Lot 2 - Panama - Washed

Highland Grace Lot 2 is a washed Gesha from Bambito Estate in Cerro Punta, Chiriquí, Panama. Grown at 1,750 metres, it comes from the family estate led by Priscilla and her son Ivan. The farm’s position between mountain ridges and near protected forests creates a cool, cloudy environment with distinct microclimates.

Bambito remains closely involved in cultivation and processing, with its own greenhouse, mill and cupping room. Coffee byproducts are composted and returned to the soil, while natural springs supply water for the mill. For this lot, ripe cherries were depulped and fermented with their remaining mucilage for 36 hours before thorough washing.

Datura selected the coffee during its Panama visit and highlights the intensity and definition of its floral character. Jasmine and rose lead the tasting card, accompanied by yuzu, oolong and nectarine. The result is a selection for drinkers seeking a floral washed Gesha with citrus and stone-fruit detail, supported by the work of a small estate with generations of family involvement.
