Big Sur Coffee - Hacienda Llavecocha Typica Mejorado - Ecuador - Washed
Tasting notes: Raspberry, red plum, prune, sweet apricot
Carlos Jaramillo grows this Typica Mejorado at Hacienda Llavecocha in Saraguro, Loja. At 2,200 metres, the coffee matures under dense shade trees. Harvested in July 2026, lot 24H undergoes a restrained 24-hour fermentation before washing, preserving the fruit sweetness described by Big Sur.
The cup moves from ripe apricot and prune sweetness when hot toward brighter raspberry and red plum as it cools. Big Sur highlights its defined structure and delicate mouthfeel. A super-light roast makes this a distinctive Ecuadorian selection for filter brewing.
