Tasting notes: Rose hips, hibiscus & red berries

Kapsokisio is a vibrant washed coffee from Mount Elgon, Kenya, produced by several hundred smallholder farmers at the Kapsokisio wet mill. Featuring mainly the K7 cultivar alongside SL28 and SL34, this coffee offers intense flavours of rose hips, hibiscus, and fresh red berries. The cherries are hand-picked and carefully sorted before being depulped, dry fermented for 12–16 hours, washed, and slowly dried on raised beds for 10–14 days. Its bright berry character and floral notes create an expressive cup that showcases the distinctive qualities of Kenyan coffee and the K7 cultivar.
