Sundrop comes from Daterra in Brazil’s Cerrado region, a producer known for pairing coffee innovation with long-term environmental work. For this lot, fully ripe cherries remain attached to the tree and dry slowly during the region’s dry season. Careful control of this tree-dried natural method avoids defects while concentrating sweetness and preserving Daterra’s clean, balanced style.

The cup is silky and low in acidity, with fig, cherry, and caramel sweetness layered with black tea and lemon. Daterra was the first Rainforest Alliance-certified coffee farm in Brazil and continues to invest in experimental farming and processing, while its collaboration with The Barn also supports tree planting. Sundrop reflects that measured approach in an elegant, approachable filter coffee.
