Double Double is a dark-roasted Brazilian Red Catuai from Fazenda Esperanca in Cerrado Mineiro. The farm was acquired by Deyvid Leandro’s grandfather, Jose Maria, in the 1990s. Deyvid began helping there as a child and now leads its operations, bringing agronomic knowledge and experience in specialty coffee to the family’s production.

Spilt Milk created this coffee as a playful nod to a familiar Canadian coffee order. Natural processing and a dark roast produce a smooth, full-bodied cup with dark chocolate, maple syrup and peanut brittle notes. Its rich character is intended to pair well with cream and sugar, while remaining suitable for both espresso and filter. The roaster suggests a 16:1 filter ratio or a 2.5:1 espresso yield-to-dose ratio as starting points.
