Mullugeta Muntasha’s journey from truck driver to respected coffee producer is rooted in his commitment to developing coffee in his home region of Bursa, Ethiopia, where coffee was once largely unknown. In 2021, he returned to establish Dawencho, a drying station that quickly gained recognition in the Cup of Excellence. By 2022, four of the competition’s top 10 coffees came from his lots, highlighting the quality of his work and the potential of the region.

This natural-process Landrace coffee is raised-bed dried and roasted ultra-light to preserve its vibrant character. The cup is bright and fruit-forward, with notes of strawberry, honeysuckle, pink lemonade, and peach. Suitable for both filter and espresso, it offers a lively and expressive profile that reflects Mullugeta’s dedication to specialty coffee production.
