Julian Calderón produces this washed Pink Bourbon near Palestina in southern Huila, Colombia, at approximately 1,800 metres above sea level. Working alongside his father, Julio, he focuses on distinctive varieties grown in fertile soils and processed to reveal their natural character. The family’s connection with La Cabra developed through the LaREB collective, which began working with Julian early in his production journey and later introduced the roaster to his father’s coffees.

This lot showcases the expressive character of Pink Bourbon from Huila, with ripe tropical fruit followed by a crisp red berry acidity. Deep brown sugar sweetness brings balance and depth, creating a cup that feels bright yet rounded. The washed process and La Cabra’s light roasting approach keep the fruit character clear, making this coffee an engaging choice for both filter and espresso.
