Castillo Lulo Washed Finca Santa Monica is a vibrant Colombian coffee produced by Felipe Arcila at Finca Santa Monica in Quindio, growing at 1,450–1,500 metres above sea level. Made from the Castillo variety, this coffee is co-fermented with lulo before being washed, creating a distinctive tropical profile with notes of pineapple, lulo, and tropical fruit. The innovative processing brings an intense fruit character to the cup while maintaining a bright and refreshing structure. Juicy tropical flavours and lively acidity make this an exciting expression of Colombian specialty coffee.

The lulo processing is pretty noticeable and gives it a nice tart kick that mixes perfectly with the sweeter pineapple notes. It has a very tropical profile overall. Since it is a washed coffee it stays clean and does not get overly funky like some fermented beans do. I brewed it on a pour over and enjoyed it a lot. Worth grabbing if you like fruity coffees.
