Colombia – Andres Martinez is a refined washed Caturra from Colombia, grown at an impressive 2,000 metres above sea level. Produced by Andrés Martinez, a Biochemical Engineer whose career has remained closely connected to his family’s coffee-growing roots, this coffee reflects both traditional knowledge and a modern approach to specialty coffee production. Andrés currently manages two farms in Cauca, where he cultivates distinctive varieties including Geisha, Chiroso, Papayo, Bourbon Rosado, and Sidra, while continuing to develop his processing infrastructure and capacity. He has also established cherry collection points in Nariño and Cauca to help create larger, more consistent volumes while maintaining control over processing. This Caturra is washed, bringing a clean and transparent character to the cup with the crisp, light, and refreshing qualities often associated with Colombian coffees. Grown at high altitude, it offers a bright and elegant drinking experience that highlights the clarity and balance of the washed process while showcasing the quality of Andrés’s careful production.
