DE MELLO - Ethiopia Abdo
Tasting notes: Grape Jelly, Blood Orange, Purple Flower
Ethiopia Abdo is an elegant and expressive natural coffee from Limu in the Jimma Zone of Oromia, produced by Abdo Abamecha at 1,900–2,100 metres above sea level. Working across more than 30 hectares alongside over 200 smallholder farmers, Abdo cultivates coffee beneath a dense forest canopy where volcanic soils, shade, and a thriving ecosystem create ideal growing conditions. This lot is naturally processed using carefully selected ripe cherries that are dried whole on raised beds, allowing the fruit to play a central role in shaping the coffee’s character. The result is a beautifully layered cup that gradually unfolds with delicate notes of elderflower cider, yellow plum, and pink muscat. Lightly roasted to preserve its vibrant sweetness and floral character, Ethiopia Abdo is a refined choice for coffee drinkers who enjoy complex, fruit-forward Ethiopian coffees.
