The New School – Strawberry is a seasonal blend from Black & White Roasters designed to bring together two distinct sides of specialty coffee: the clean, vibrant character of washed Ethiopian coffees and the bold, experimental flavours of co-fermented lots. The current blend combines 80% Riripa Washed, sourced from smallholder producers in West Arsi, Oromia, Ethiopia, with 20% Sebastián Ramirez Red Fruits, a Castillo co-ferment from Finca El Placer in Quindío, Colombia.

Roasted to a medium level, the blend balances clarity and approachability with expressive fruit character. Strawberry jam leads the cup, followed by sweet canned pineapple and a smooth milk chocolate finish. As the blend changes seasonally, its core concept remains the same: combining traditional washed coffee profiles with innovative processing to create something both clean and dynamic.
