Finca San Antonio represents an exciting addition from a farm that has recently gained strong recognition for its consistent quality. This lot combines Caturra and Variedad Colombia, resulting in a refined and highly approachable cup.
Expect soft notes of apricot and raisin, complemented by subtle florals and balanced sweetness. The profile is clean, structured, and particularly drinkable.
Another distinctive offering from the same farm, Tropical Silk, is also available separately. Both coffees were previously featured together in a seasonal subscription release and received strong feedback.
Finca San Antonio is operated by husband-and-wife team Nilson and Lida Cielo Lopez. After inheriting the land from Nilson’s parents, they have steadily refined their cultivation and processing methods in pursuit of elevated cup quality. In addition to traditional Colombian varieties, the farm has expanded plantings to include Geisha, reflecting a continued commitment to innovation.
Following selective harvesting, ripe cherries were density sorted to remove defects, depulped, and fermented in tanks for approximately 42 hours. After washing, the coffee was dried on shaded beds for 16–20 days. Although processed anaerobically, the final cup remains remarkably clean, without heavy residual fermentation character.
