Peru continues to showcase remarkable quality, and El Romerillo is a standout example. This elegant Geisha, produced by Juan Manchay, delivers a refined and expressive cup profile.

Expect notes of ripe cherry and honey sweetness, complemented by delicate floral aromatics and a clean, structured finish.

This release was initially offered through a subscriber preview and is now available more broadly.

Processing begins with a 48-hour whole cherry fermentation to soften the fruit. The coffee is then pulped, followed by an additional 24-hour fermentation before being fully washed. Drying takes place over 14 to 21 days with careful and regular turning to ensure consistency.

Situated between 1,900 and 2,100 meters above sea level, the farm cultivates varieties including Geisha, Caturra, Bourbon, Marshell, and Catuai. This particular Red Geisha was harvested in September and arrived at the roastery in December.
