La Laguneta is a farm with a fresh start. When Mr. Héctor Ricardo Leal Pivaral purchased the property in 2013, it had been largely abandoned. Since then, he has poured his energy into replanting, restoring, and reimagining the land, building a farm that balances tradition with a clear eye toward the future.
Set in the volcanic soils of Acatenango, La Laguneta now grows a mix of Bourbon, Catuai, and Caturra, alongside newer, non-traditional varieties. Thoughtful updates like raised African beds and greenhouse drying help protect quality and bring clarity and consistency to every harvest.
