Tuma Tesso is our final Jimma lot of the ’24-’25 Ethiopian harvest season. This lot comes to us from the Atoma washing station, which is owned and operated by Mike Mamo. We have we have been buying coffee from Mike’s company Addis Exporter for five years. They separate and name their lots after the kebele where the coffee was grown. This is our first year buying coffee from the Tuma Tesso, a very remote kebele in the Gera zone. It is so remote that it does not have access to electricity. The producers of Tuma Tesso deliver their cherry to Atoma station by horseback, often making two deliveries per harvest.
