Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using our website or making a purchase. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part, please do not use our services or make purchases.

1. Eligibility & Account Registration

  • To place orders or access certain features, you may need to create an account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and keep your account info updated.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for any breach of these Terms.

2. Product Information & Illustrations

  • We strive to provide accurate descriptions of our coffee and other products.
  • Images, colours, sizes, and packaging are for illustrative purposes; actual products may differ slightly.
  • Products are subject to availability and may change without prior notice.

3. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are displayed in Canadian Dollars (CAD), unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices exclude applicable taxes and shipping fees (shown at checkout).
  • Prices may change at any time without prior notice.
  • By placing an order, you authorize Speciality Coffee Canada to charge the full amount to your selected payment method.
  • We use secure, reputable payment processors; you must ensure your payment information is accurate and up to date.

4. Shipping & Delivery

  • We process orders promptly, but delivery times depend on destination, customs, carrier availability, and other external factors.
  • Delivery options, estimated times, and shipping fees are shown at checkout.
  • Once goods leave our facilities, the carrier assumes responsibility. We are not liable for delays, loss, or damage in transit unless due to our negligence.
  • You are responsible for correct shipping information. If returned due to an incorrect address, you may be responsible for additional shipping costs.

5. Returns & Refunds

  • Coffee: All sales are final (no returns or exchanges).
  • Equipment, accessories, apparel: Unused, unopened items may be returned within 30 days if in original packaging and resellable condition.
  • If an order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery with order details and photos. We will arrange a replacement, store credit, or refund.
  • Shipping/return shipping costs are non-refundable except in cases of our error.

6. Promotions, Discounts & Gift Cards

  • Promotional codes, discounts, and freebies are subject to stated terms and may not be combined.
  • Special offers may be time-limited and subject to availability.
  • Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

7. Privacy & Data Collection

We respect your privacy. This section summarizes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

What we collect: name, address, email, phone number, billing & shipping info, payment info, order history, account credentials, customer service communications, device/browser info, IP address.

Our website may contain third-party links or social widgets. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or policies. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Speciality Coffee Canada and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the site or products. Our maximum liability related to a product is limited to the purchase price paid.

14. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, supply chain disruptions, labour disputes, or other emergencies.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that province.

16. Amendments & Effective Date

  • We may update these Terms at any time; changes take effect upon posting.
  • We update the “Last updated” date at the top.
  • Continued use of the site after posting constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
